Matthew,There is a box to uncheck Windows sounds, but using software speech it would almost certainly pick up JAWS, at least that is my experience running Windows 98. I think I once heard of someone using XP to do what you want, but most people seem to use hardware speech, and even then you may have some configuring to do because of the virtual driver ... I know this is true for Winamp.
