Because when you adjust the screw you are setting the power over the
legal limit. I have one and by changing the power I increased the range
by a factor of three.

I wonder why the c Crane company could not have made that screw
adjustment
themselves before celling the fm transmitter?
I am always afraide that I'll break something, turn the screw too far,
not
be able to get the plate back on etc.
