There's certainly some wisdom in the philosophy of upgrading only when you have to but I must admit, after buying a new PC recently, I've upgraded winamp, nero, notmad explorer, real player and windows media player and am wishing I'd done so ages back.
With regards to nero though, I think Richard's spot on; if you don't need any additional functionality and your burning CD's with no problem, I'd stick with what you've got. I would also say though that in nero's case, the interface has not changed between 5.5 and version 6.
