Are there any keyboards being sold today for no more than $400 that have a
reasonably accesible sequencer built in to it anymore? I own a Casio Wk-3500,
which has some great sounds and rhythms, however, the sequencer is absolutely
unusable in mine 'umble opinion.
Now I hear rumor that Yamaha is making keyboards that aren't as usable as they
used to be, back when boards like the PSR-510 was being made.
I really should not have to pay extra for a midi program which may or may not
access all the patches on my keyboard, nor should one have to be tied to a
computer to create sequences. However, it seems to be the only route available
for one to do any sort of sequencing with some access.

Sun Sparkle! Korg is as good as it gets for many people. They've been
around forever. Many people consider the big three to be: Korg, Roland and
Yamaha. There are several others: Akai, Cassio, Ensoniq, General Music,
Kurzweil, Techniques, and many many more. They're all good at what they do.
What would you want in a keyboard? A piano, different sounds, what sorts of
sounds, how many keys, weighted, semi weighted, portable, battery powered,
onboard sequencer? How much money do you want to allow for this? Honestly,
almost anything you could ever want is available. Most people who want a
keyboard with no more description than that want something by Cassio or
Yamaha in the $300 to $500 range. I've been selling keyboards for seventeen
years and every year the rules change. It's a hard area to keep up with.
