Hi all! Been away from the list for awhile, so my appoligies if I ask a questio that's been recently asked. Well, I have two questions, actually.

1. A silly question perhaps, but . . . Iwant to record a bunch of LP's onto my hard drive and want to know if I can just plug in my turntable with its pre-amp, of course, directly into the lin-in of my PC?

2. Short of buyin the full version of Soundforge, is there a blind-friendly program that cn clean up the clicks, pops and other noise that I'll have when I record said albums?

Thanks a lot, and a very joyful New Year to everyone!

You should be able to stop Creative Mixer from loading with msconfig,
depending on your version of Windows. There is also a setting in Creative
Mixer that keeps it from resetting the standard Windows mixer but I don't
remember where that is now. I haven't had Creative mixer on my system for a
while.

I just installed my SB Audogy 2 card. Everything seems to have worked out
all right, except it's now replaced the Windows volume control with
Creative's own. It doesn't, at first glance, appear to be accessible. How
can I get the Windows volume control back, or else make the Creative
volume control accessible?
