Hello, I have not used Wavepad but have used similar programs and am relatively sure of your problem. If you use software speech, even though you may have what is called a multichannel soundcard you cannot technically split the sounds so that only the stream you want to record is "heard." in other words, it is not like having stereo headphones ... in fact, if you connect headphones to your PC, this is the reason you cannot hear both sound sources one in each ear. The only way to assure that your screenreader speech does not bleed into the recording is either to unload it completely or to get a hardware synthesizer or a second soundcard for use by your screenreader exclusively. if you have already done these things, I'm not sure what your problem is.
