Winamp problems

I'm having Winamp problems.  Latest version.  When I open and play a file, 
and hit alt-3, nothing shows up.  In fact the alt key doesn't do anything at 
all.  When I toggle with ctrl-tab, I go from editor to equalizer.  I can't 
seem to get to the library at all.
