After doing some more tweaking, I found that setting the wav volume to five percent and then normalizing the resulting recording gave me the desired balance between my voice and Jaws. What I didn't realize was that I need to bring the wav volume to around 45 % or so to comfortably listen to the recording. I was sort of going in a circle for a while.
