Jerry, "A standard "MUSIC" CD plays at 1,378.125 KBPS" Can that possibly be right; or did you mean BPS, there?
"A live performance plays at infinity KBPS." That doesn't make sense!, which is why I wondered about the sense of my question. But, as one sits in a concert hall, reveling in a live performance, there has to be some finite number of kilobytes per second of information reaching one's ears; otherwise one would hear nothing. Oh, I'm sure the human brain is incapable of processing *all* of the auditory information that it *might* receive, at any given moment. But there has to be some finite limit to its processing capacity, and, I imagine, the typical sensory environment in which human beings place themselves is well within that limit; otherwise, all of us would be on a permanent LSD trip! <grin> Dana ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jerry Richer" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC audio discussion list.
