It sure would be nice if one could get eloquence or something good for sapi,
as Microsoft Sam leaves a lot to be desired. I wonder why jaws doesn't honor
the device setting set for voice in the speech control panel in XP? That
thing is next to useless, that's the device any screen reader should use, so
I can force it to the onboard one.

Ok the way I do it is I use total recorder using the dreaded software
driver I use sappy 5 as my synth and it seems to work I don't get my
screanreader in my recordings I use replay radio using the same method
and it works just fine hth.

No, even the Software mode still records the speech along with
whatever else
is being recorded..

Is there a way, with one soundcard and a program like Total
Recorder (or
some other), to record streaming content, but not hear the JFW
software
speech on the recordings?
I know the two obvious solutions are use a hardware synth, which I
can't
use
any longer, or add a second soundcard, and I am also having
difficulties
there, too.
