There was some discussion awhile back about microphones.
Prices of microphones have come down cnsiderably over the years. You don't 
have to pay a thousand dollars in order to get broadcast quality out of a 
microphone. Many broadcasters will buy microphones in the 300 to 500-dollar 
range. If it is simply internet radio a microphone in the range of 60 to 
100-dollars will do just fine. Many of todays professional headset 
microphone combinations will do the job just fine. The other day I saw a 
discontinued AKG broadcast quality microphone headset combination for under 
a hundred bucks.
