Well, in Soundforge 8, I am not too sure, but, in Soundforge 6, you usually start your file, hit enter to pause, then hit the m key, to set a marker, then the left or right bracket key, depending on whether or not it is the beginning of the portion that you want to cut, copy, or delete. Those instructions are from Mosen's tutorial; they work in 6, but I am not too sure about 8.
