I agree, but it shouldn't be the primary track as you suggested in your message. The other issue, although, probably a small one, is that adding dvs costs around $4000 per movie. I heartily agree that dvs should be on all DVD's instead or along with that commentary track where the director tells us why he did what he did. Honestly! How many times is someone going to listen to that track<grin>? Having said that, I would think that $4000 would be a small price to pay when combined with the total cost of a movie so that a large number of purchasers could have descriptive audio. I am sure that part of our problem is that the NFB, the ones who purport to be the voice of the nation's blind, don't believe that blind people should have DVS. They have come out against it and therefore, will not advocate for it. Until we as blind purchasers of DVD's unite within our organizations that represent the blind and fight for descriptive audio on a DVD or on television, it will never happen.

Subject: Re: Describe Video Service That's not what I'm saying at all. All I am saying is why can't the blind have a dvs track in a movie so that we can enjoy the same movie as the sited person? The problem is that I don't think their is enough demand for dvs and so the marketers don't listen to the blind consumer. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Paul Henrichsen" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "'PC audio discussion list.
