High Albert,
I can remember about 20 years ago Rayovack, if I'm spelling that right, had
batteries like that.
Even thoe they had special rechargers, you could recharge them with any off
the shelf recharger.
I wonder if this is the case with these?
   John Price.

a different charger wasn't mentioned in the article, however, another
company from Japan has had the same kind of batteries for close to a year
now. wish I could remember but it's a major company that we all have heard
of.

Ok, sounds like you are talking about the new hybrid batteries then and the
price sounds right for those kind of batteries. I agree, the new hybrid
batteries are really going to be sweet. What I am not sure of yet is
whether or not you need a special charger. Not sure if they can be
recharged on regular NIMH chargers.

These will last much longer in off mode while charged. they were never able
to sell them in charged mode. Other than that, it's all I know.

Albert,

Sorry, not following you here. Do you mean the new Hybrid batteries, and
are you saying they will be $3 per battery? If you are referring to the new
Hybrid batteries then I can believe the price but if you mean regular NIMH
batteries that have simply been pre-charged before delivering them to
stores, then I don't get it.

for 3 bucks a piece, Duracell is putting their rechargeable line of
batteries in stores next month. currently, you have to charge them up
before using them. these will make Xmas. much more fun.
