Hi Dane,
I briefly looked at a Zoom in Target over the weekend. the model you spoke of, 
does it or any of them have am radio?
I currently use a digital player made by Pogo electronics that has am/fmradio, 
but itlso plays MP3 and WMA files as well as a programmable digital recordings
