I saw that screen compatibility stuff but never actually found it. I think
it was for an older version of foobar. Anyway let me see if I can explain
the keyboard setup.
Basically after you go into preferences on the file menu and open the
general branch of the tree view, the new section is keyobard shortcuts or
something. When you tab around you will hear the normal prefernces buttons:
save all, close, reset, whatever. Then you will se a list view, if you arrow
down you will hear some keystrokes and there descrpition with a bit of
giberish betweeen every thing. Once you have highlighted any entry in this
list by either arrowing down or pressing spacebar or whatever the rest of
the dialog box will be revealed. If nothing get highlighted in this list you
will not see the rest of what I am talking about.
Anyway, now that you have something highlighted you can tab to the add then
remove buttons. Now here comes the fun part the next time you hit tab you
will see a tree view of all the commands foobar offers; context menu
commands, menu bar commands, playlist commands, and more. When you find the
command you want tab once to the edit field and press your desired
keystroke. Press shift tab till you find the add button. Now to check your
work shift tab to the first listview and see if your keystroke and command
have been added to the list.
Well that is the short version. If you have trouble I can go through and
give an example if you'd like. There might be other ways of doing this but
this is how I've been d oing it, and remember I've only used this program
for a few weeks now.
Hope it helps
bb
