Hi I love doubletalk on the book port. I can't stand reading text files with the stream; the voice just seems way too slow! I like it faster, which doubletalk does a great job at. Also, I checked out my info on a 2 gb sd card. 300 hours of available recording time (that's right, 300)! Actually that was with about 700 mb taken, so about 1.1 gb there. Pretty good imho. If you want a recorder, you would want something like the olympus, which comes with an external mic (the ds30, anyway). THe vr stream is not a stand alone voice recorder as Mike said- so, that would explain some things. It does, however, serve its purpose as a multi tasking unit. I love it, for the most part- the only gripe I have with it is the fact that it doesn't last as long as the book port, and you can't change the battery (it has an internal one that is replacable but only with a certin kind, not A A which I like).
