Bit of a problem for me but not a serious one. I sometimes find it a bit
difficult to follow American speech. Hopefully in a future firmware upgrade
we might see a british voice also.

I have the Pocket. In the menu there are two text-to-speech voices listed
as:
US English Tom
US English Samantha
I don't recall; Maybe they are ScanSoft voices?
Hope this helps,
Jeff

Does anyone know what speech synthesizer is used in the Plextalk? I'm
attracted to the recording ability of the plextalk, I know that the
booksense uses neospeech and I'm not fond of the reading voices used by
the Stream. I do have a Braille plus which I like a lot, but I would
like a backup device, and I'm torn between the Booksense and the
Plextalk at this point.
