If you want the best "bang for your buck" as far as audio recorders and editors go then there's one piece of software that really puts Sound Forge Audio Studio, Sound forge Pro and Goldwave to absolute shame and that's Amadeus Pro, the multi track recorder/editing software for the Mac, without a doubt this is my favourite piece of audio software and it even costs less than Goldwave does.
I'm only sorry that only a small proportion of you are likely to have any "hands on" experience with Amadeus Pro as you'll notice a stark difference in performance with this software, its something that I've not seen any audio editing application running under Windows match yet although in some areas Sound Forge can come a little bit closer <smile>.
