Hi Dan,

You don't say what hardware you're using but your problem could be
caused by not having enough RAM installed on your computer and also the
processor speed not being powerful enough to handle the tasks you're
trying to do on your computer efficiently. If you're able to upgrade
the processor to one of a higher speed and increase the amount of RAM
you have installed this may help. Also it might be a good idea to check
what software is running when your computer starts and stop any programs
that don't have to load at startup from starting automatically and just
start those programs manually when you want to use them. I hope this
helps.

Regards Steve.

Hi All,I am using win-xp pro with all updates. However, when using the
onboard soundcard, both screenreaders have a kind of choppy sound. I am
nnot sure how to explain it better. All the sound comes through but sort of
choppy. I went under the device manager and updated the drivers with the
same result.

Does anyone have any ideas how to make the speech come through smoother?
