Hi John, Thanks much for your suggestions. The file type selection box was the problem. And, frankly, I don't understand because I have checked that thing several times in the past. But when I went to look tonight, the darn thing was not checked.

Have one of your files highlighted by having the curser pointing at it. Hit the application key and scroll up to properties. Tab over to the change button. It should give you a choice of programs to open it with. If Winamp is on the list, then have the curser to highlight that one. Tab over to the apply button and hit inter. Then tab over to the ok button, and there you are, the files should play in Winamp now. The other thing you mite want to check out, is how you have things sat in the file types.
