Yep points taken and I'm nodding my head in both agreement and sympathy <smile> 
but I have to admit that it would be nice to have a "Stand-alone" radio 
recorder separate from computers and so on so the Witness may be the way to go? 
Well we'll wait and see.

my faithful Panasonic RXED-50 has finally started to show its age of 10 years 
and I can't get another one as Panasonic just recently - and finally! - 
discontinued the model so I have to look for alternatives.
