Dane, The point you are missing here is that I have heard a pair of speakers which meet my requirements in full. They have an adequate amount of output volume and a sufficient amount of base. Unfortunately, they don't appear to be available still. They are a little more expensive than others I have seen (around $35) but that is not an issue for me. I have heard 3 other sets of USB speakers and the Rock 302g are streets ahead of the rest. If anyone can tell me where I can still buy them, I would be most grateful.
Unfortunately I can't demonstrate them so you can judge for yourself.
