Hi Jo.
I think you should try Winamp. The free version wil let you rip at 8x
speed maximum and the default format is M4A. You can configure your rip
preferences in the preferences dialogue box, under media library, cd
ripping. www.winamp.com/player.
Chat soon.

hello friends, let me start by explaining what my problem is, i have an external hard
drive, i want to rip 20 CD's of music on to it, i'm using windows media player, at
present the discks are being ripped on to a folder that WMP creates itself and calls it
"my music" which is not on the external hard drive, that's not where i want
them to go, i'm using jaws 11 and windows xp i don't want to have to copy all the disks
to the hard drive, i want the disks to go directly there, is there any way i can tell WMP
to create the file on the external hard drive which incidentally is my F drive, i don't
mind changing from WMP and trying some other software if necessary, i do have more disks
that i will be ripping in the near future, hope i'm making myself clear, hope someone can
help, regards from ireland, joe.
