Well, an easy way to accomplish what you want would be to take the text file into either DocuScan Plus and have it make a MP3 of the document or you could also use OpenBook to do this too as long as you use Eloquence as your default synthesizor.

Hi all,
I don't use biblos, but I'm Italian. I went on its author website and I read
the last version of biblos is not free, but here's one that is, always on
his website.
http://www.digrande.it/pages/download/download.asp?file=biblosfree.
It says between the supported languages there's English aswell.
Again, I don't use this software, but I hope that helped.
Bye
Gianluca.

But not eloquence which is not sapi as far as I know.

That is what I am looking for and especially the British one.

Hi!

Isn't there a tool in Goldwave that does this? It uses the default
SAPI speech engine or you can choose from amongst multiple SAPI voices
if you have multiple voices installed.

I know there was something like that written by someone in Italy I think.
The interface was also in Italian if I remember correctly.

But it would still be usuable with a bit of practice.

There used to be a bit of software called biblos I am not sure I have
the spelling correct.

Anyway this software used the eloquence from Jaws, it will not use
any other voices on your computer just jaws I used to use this but no
longer use it. it did work well Google it and you might still get it.

Hi,
Having Kurzweil1000 you can generate any adio files right there and
it can be done with Eloquence's voices too, so there is no need for

Fanus thanx man!

Interestingly enough it is not only me from down here who have a
hearing loss that prefer the british speech. I know of quite a few
of uswho actually told me the same thing.

Andre

Hi Andre
If you install the trial version of k1000 (kurzweil reader) you get
eloquence. If you then use balabolka you can convert text to a .mp3
with the jaws Reid voice. I do not know about the UK english Reid voice.
Regards
Fanus

Hi all

I know there are several programs that would allow you to turn text
files into audio files in mp3 format using the sapi voices on the
computer.

However, I find the very odd phrasing of especially the realspeak
voices a bit difficult to understand.

Hence my question: Has anyone ever written such a programme which
turns text files into audio files using the Eloquence speech
synthesizer? That would also mean if you e.g. like the british
voice, it then uses the british voice as it is already installed on
your
computer?

Just curious.

Andre
