You'll pay for this, but the Beyerdynamic MMX2 is the best I have ever used
in this department. For Microphone quality, it is closely followed by the
Cad U2, but I didn't like the headphones nearly as much.

I once had a headset mic that had good sound and gain that I got for about
15 dollars. Unfortunately, it broke. I think it was a Labtech. I'm looking
for a mic that has both good frequency response and good gain. It seems
