Hi List: We've sort of discussed this a little at various times, but am
looking to get a new computer with Windows 7 on it as my XP Machine is starting
to show it's age as it is getting old and slow; possibly could have something
corrupted! But my question is: do any of you know which brand of computers
have really good sound cards? Or can you tell me which ones will actually let
you put a different sound card (this Dell machine has an Audigy 2 that we had
them put in) or maybe my question is more like: which sound cards should I stay
away from? I'll be using the machine to do voice chatting (VIP Conduit) and
For-The-People) will also need it to accommodate recording, using Total
Recorder as well as Tapin Radio) I would guess that most sound cards will
accommodate Jaws (or most screen readers) but I just want to find out which is
the best way to go before actually ordering a new machine! Your responses will
be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Tom Kaufman P.S. In case anyone out there is wondering, I _did_ get my problem
with my Windows Sounds resolved!
