OK, so I could take 30 seconds to do it.
CAn you tell me what to do and where to go? <politely) <smile>
sounds easier than converting to wav and then to flac.

The first problem with that idea is - whilst its a good one - some people
aren't prepared to pay for good ideas if you get my drift <smile>.
Anyway I was going to make a suggestion to uses of Exact Audio Copy to make
things a little less complex as setting up an external FLAC encoder - whilst
most beneficial if you're prepared to take 30 seconds to do it - might be
seen as a mind mangling task so there are alternatives, rip all your files
to Wave format and then use something like Switch Audio File Converter or
even Easy CD Converter to convert the wave files to FLAC.

Doesn't matter, FLAC files don't rely on bit rates.
I don't use the settings of Exact Audio Copy for FLAC generation, instead
I
use an external FLAC encoder and specify the commands for Exact Audio Copy
to use, more flexible and far more straight forward.

There are about 20 choices of bit rates in the settings. Should I choose
the same (320) as I did for mp3?

1. set your player's output to line 1
2. turn on the VAC control pannal
3. open audio repeater MME
3a. under wave in choose line 1
3b. under wave-out choose the sound card you want to listen from
3c. set priority to real time
3d. click start
4. open skype options alt t in the skype window
5. arrow to audio
6. use pagedown to locate line 1
Now you are set.
Note: when I set the microphone in skype I pagedown then arrow down so
that
my main microphone is still in the mix in case you wish to talk you will

Hi all
I see when working with skype that virtual audio cable line in is there
to
select. From those of you who know this audio driver better, how will
you
use it to play files through skype?
According to the authorof this driver it should be possible to do this.
