Subject: Apple OSX, IOS and Audio

Hi!

I've been reading about some of the new features and highlights of the new Mac OSX, IOS for iPhone etc which will be released in September.

From an audio point of view there seems to be much to look forward to.

Apple continues the gradual "Step-by-Step" integration of OSX and IOS.

firstly, if you have an Apple Mac running the latest OSX and an iPhone running the latest IOS then you'll be able to anser and make calls from your Mac through your iPhone, this sounds most promising not only for practicality but also for those of us who use headphones to communicate via phone or other medium, early days yet so we'll wait and see what happens.

Another huge step forward is the ability to connect to your mobile carrier using your Wi-Fi network rather than the cell phone tower, nice and handy for those of us who aren't in high strength coverage areas.

How widely available this feature will become is going to very much depend on mobile carrieres, I know that T Mobile in the States have announced their intention to support the system.

SIRI will be given a total overhall, SIRI will "Listen" for you to say the words "Hey SIRI!" and from that point SIRI will be ready to accept your voice commands.

IOS and OSX will integrate further with your household items and electrical systems, for example you'll be able to say to SIRI "Goodnight", SIRI will then dim the lights, lock the doors, turn on the security system and so on.
