Hi!

The Jambox is old hack now, like so many other products they used their name to
sell the thing and just didn't update the hardware so as a consequence other
and better devices have sept the market place.

This is very interesting actually, I thought the reverse may happen in the case
of Bose, I honestly thought that Bose would just rely on their name and try to
keep selling us their 20 year old Bose Wave Radio <smile> but obviously that
hasn't happened.

Bose realise that unless they adapt to the market and give their customers good
value for money and good sounding products that are up with the times then
they're doomed as is now happening to Sonus.

I've never heard any iHome speakers though I was tempted to buy a system some
time ago, I think we may have even discussed that on the list at the time.

The Bose speakers use a better version of Bluetooth than does the Jawbone
Jambox and you can certainly hear that for yourself.

I've read quite a number of different reviews on both the Bose Soundlink III
and Mini and all the reviews I've seen have found little to complain about when
it comes to both products, a complaint I read in one reviewed on the Soundlink
Mini was that the Mini had to be charged by its own power adapter rather than
through its USB port, if that's the best complaint the reviewer can come up
with then Bose are certainly onto something.

A Reviewer of the Soundlink III made the point that audio purists may not like
the Soundlink III as it has a bit of emphasis on the bass, that's certainly
true but the Soundlink III or Mini is not marketed to audio purists anyway so
no need to worry.
