Hi! Has anyone bothered to try Jamcast and if they have then what do they think?
I've been using Jamcast full-time for the last 2 months and find it a very worthwhile edition to my collection of audio software.
Jamcast allows the streaming of audio from your Windows PC via DLNA to compatible devices, you could for example capture the line-in of your Sound card and stream this to your DLNA compatible Surround-Sound receiver or wireless speakers.
Jamcast goes far beyond streaming from your PC however, you can select channels from a variety of sources including Shoutcast and Radiotunes and stream that to your DLNA devices.
There are a variety of Apps which can control Jamcast from your Android and IOS devices which include Aircast for Android and Arc MC for IOS, these apps will allow you to remotely control Jamcast to select what you want Jamcast to stream and to where.
A free trial of Jamcast is available or you can buy the Pro edition for $20 Australian.
