Okay, you said your turntable is a USB turntable, if that's the case
then its possible that the stereo cable you mentioned would be next to
useless.
As Robert says, look for the USB Turntable in your "Sound" devices
settings under Control Panel and adjust the levels and so on there, how
your Turntable is presented and displayed is dependent on what sort of
USB turntable you have.
