Glad you got some sense out of the iPhone App, I’ve not used IOS for 4 months so can’t comment and nor can I comment on your messages regarding the Android device really given I’m using a Note4 and you’re running a Nexus, trivial it may seem to others but I have noted whilst taking my Android journey that there are differences that do present themselves in the Android world when using different devices not to mention slightly different versions of the Android operating system itself, different versions of Talkback even and possibly even different versions of the App in question - that being Netflix in this instance. -.
