I need to update an older Solaris that is the primary/control domain for a T5220 to pickup CR 6661097. Here's the details on the OS and firmware:

My questions are: 1. Will pca pickup all the patches needed to support kernel patch 141444? (I think I'm asking if I can trust the dependence list for 141444.) 2. Is it a bad idea to pick just a kernel patch out of the set of missingrs? (The missingrs set includes 111 patches.) 3. Any general advice for patching a running production primary/control domain. Thanks for any insight, Glen Gunselman

I think installing all of missingr and or missingrs is the way to go, as this is what is most tested by Sun and end users.

If you only do the kernel patch then you may be missing other important fixes that may or may not impact the kernel patch, There's really no way to know.
