---------------
Day 2 of Navy Spring Women's 2014 saw blustery but otherwise fairly
enjoyable conditions on the Severn River. Prior to sailing, a quick
scoring hearing from Saturday's racing was held resulting in Cornell
receiving redress in race 1A. After which, the fleet was sent out at
approximately 0945 in a 11-13 knot Northwesterly breeze. Four races
were sailed in each division before breaking for lunch at 1200. After
lunch, 3 additional races were sailed in each fleet, totaling 12 races
for the weekend. All races were W4s with an offset, gates, and a
finish line to the opposite side of the RC.
One Protest was filed resulting in a DSQ in race 8A, and one breakdown
request was denied. Another big thank you to PRO Kyle Assad for
running one heck of an event, and to our volunteers Dave Clinnin,
Alana O'Reilly, Jim Wojick, John Wright, and Ian McGuinness.
