Hello PCCSC sailors, the 2nd annual 'Central Coast Challenge' will take place on Nov. 1-2 and the Notice of Race is now available on the event page *http://www.ucsbsailing.com/regattas/2014-ccc/ <http://www.ucsbsailing.com/regattas/2014-ccc/>.* This event is focused on new teams and sailors to give them a chance to experience college racing in a low key environment.
A special thank you to the Westmont College Sailing Team, who has agreed to run the event and spare the UCSB sailors who are in the middle of midterms. *Changes for this year's event include the following:* 1. It's a two day event. Because it's Halloween weekend, there will not likely be any housing on campus with any team members due to limited parking, etc. It's highly recommended reserving campgrounds or some other accommodations away from campus. See 2. There will be a nominal *charter boat fee of $30 per boat for the weekend and we are asking teams to bring their own sails this year.* If you need sails, please email [email protected]. Sails are $20 for the weekend. Checks can be made out to 'OSL-UCSB Sailing'.
