Teams, This message is a general reminder to all teams to take a close look at their Techscore accounts as we approach the end of the year and make sure you have completed the following:
- All of your team's RP information is complete. Check each event if you are concerned. It is not the hosts responsibility to enter RP information. Since each school can have multiple accounts there is no excuse to not have this information entered by the end of the last day of the regatta. You should be doing it daily so you can catch your unregistered sailors on Saturday and have them corrected before Sunday. - Your team has no active unregistered/temporary sailors. To do this go to the "My School" menu > "Sailors" and then match up all of the sailors that you can. The names is the available drop down list come directly from your school's database listing here: http://classic.collegesailing.org/directory/individual/ . <http://classic.collegesailing.org/directory/individual/> If someone is missing from the drop down list make sure they are registered with a green check mark next to their name. Any updates made to the database will not show up in Techscore until the next day. - Your team has a school logo. To do this go to the "My School" menu > "School Logo" and upload your team's image. Make sure you follow the requirements for the image file or it will be rejected by the system. - Your team has a team name. This should be the name that your athletic teams are known by. You can have multiple, for example the University of Hawaii Rainbow Warriors (for their coed team) and the University of Hawaii Rainbow Wahines (for their women's team). This can be customized at each event. Do not enter a name and then repeat it with the numbers 1, 2, 3, etc. after it. The system does this automatically when it is necessary. Do not include your school name in front of the team name. This just duplicates the school name on the display which looks bad and is unnecessary. - Hosts, make sure all of your events are finalized. This can be done with missing RP information but it requires that you submit the Regatta Summary. We are not looking for a dissertation in this section, just a quick rundown of the conditions, thank your volunteers and note anything of significance. This is supposed to be done at the end of each day so it can be emailed to the list, a rule few if any follow anymore. The program makes it very easy to do, just type the summary and check the box to send it to the list. - Lastly, if you have Techscore problems you should be using the question tab at the bottom of every page. This sends all of the necessary information to the administrators with your question (what page you are on and what browser type you are using). This is your best chance of a quick answer, especially on the weekend. Thank you! The Techscore Administration Team -- Danielle M.
