All,

We are excited to host this years Coed and Team Race conference championships!

Below is some important information on each regatta:

Coed (Friday and Saturday)

Report time each day is 9:30am, please don't be early on Friday as we have a
rowing team training and leaving at 9am.

Parking is always an issue so please help us out and park in the right spots.
Short answer is if you are in a legal spot and on pavement you are good to go,
if you are on Gravel move! Parking is open around the boathouse on Friday.
Saturday we can park in the lot to the left of the boathouse as you drive in as
well.

If you have parents or friends coming to watch the sailing on Friday and
saturday it is not a good idea. We will not have spectator boats and we will
be out in the bay with no areas to watch. Sunday for team racing they are more
then welcome as we will be inside.

We will be sailing outside in the bay, this is a great open water venue.
Everyone will be going on the water either sailing or on coach boats. We have
3 inflatables for coaches and any extras that you think might sail. We will
have a limit to how many we can carry on these inflatables and we will allow
the coach boats to go back to the sailing center to pick anyone up that they
might need. If we have too many sailors and coaches for the boats we will ask
some sailors to stay on shore.

Coaches you will be driving these three inflatables, please bring a life jacket
to have on the boat. All food should go on the coach boats and we will have
water jugs on the boats to refill water bottles.

The outside venue is restricted by the tide we can only be out there within 3
hours of High Tide. On Friday that means we need to be done racing by 3:30 and
on Saturday by 4:30 or so. If we are struggling to get racing in we will move
inside and race inside, this will be a last resort.

Realistically with no bathrooms we will sail for 3-4 hours each day outside to
get racing in. This worked well this Fall with the women's and singlehanded
champs.

Courses will be on the board in the sailing bay but we plan to run Trapezoid
inner and outer courses. We do have an option for a W4 as well.

Stay masters will not be allowed to adjust except by the permission of the
regatta chairman and PCCSC Rep. All Stay masters are set and taped at 6 and
will most likely stay there the whole regatta. This is how it is going to be
handled at nationals so we will do the same.

Team Racing (Sunday)

9:30am report time

Same parking situation

We will sail inside with great tide! We will run the regatta like the
McIntyre. Rotation will be off the rowing docks. Our very ambitious plan is
for 2 round robins then a final four.

We have great umpires for you:

Grant Baldwin
Daniel Richards (CHUMP)
Zander Kirkland
Kevin Laube
Mateo Vargas

We will have 3 umpire boats going with at least 1 umpire boat per race.
Realistically we will only have 2 races on the course at a time so this should
be no problem. We will use limited umpiring (Yellow Flag) just in case as we
might only have one umpire boat on a tight race.

Sailing Instructions will go up on techscore today.

See you all tomorrow,

John
