Good morning,

I have a 6200 that I want to add to my etherent network and have a
couple of qns about doing that. It will only be used as a "slave", so
that the other machines can use the hd for storage / backup ( mainly
because I can get a large ide drive more cheaply than a large scsi)
1. can I use 9.1 in it if I reduce the install options so that it doesnt
need as much ram?
2. is there a size limit for the hd?
3. will any old ide drive fit or do I need to be a bit more careful than
that?

I have followed the thread about fitting an pci card ide controller.
Will one of those work in the 6200? And if so, is there now a limit on
the size of the second drive that I put in?

Thanks in anticipation

Tim Roberts

PS the other alternative is to use it as a doorstop
