No, the 9500 has a different memory controller then the 5x00 and 6x00 PCI
series.
4k or 2k work good with upgraded or not PCI macs other then those above
(exceptions are with some early G4 upgrade from Powerlogix, for example,
it doesn't love 4k refresh DIMMs).
First of all you should push FIRMLY the RAM modules in the slots.
Then check one by one the RAM modules ( plug in the module, startup and
so on with the other modules) OR put them all in, write their phisical
disposition on the paper and check in the system profiler (OS 8.6 and
higher) which slot/s the system finds empty.
The problem seems a bad RAM module or bad RAM slots.
