I know people have different opinions but I just think it's a matter
of whether your computer can take 4k. And they can be mixed but they
will just go to the 4k refresh if you mix with 2k. Or just like EDO.
If your computer doesn't get any benefits from it, why buy it, unless
it's a good deal, as it doesn't matter. And you can mix with EDO and
FPM too. Sure 2k is probably faster by some mili thousands second but
are you willing to pay the higher price for 2k. Generally the price
you see on advertisements is for 4k. 2k can cost quite a bit more
sometimes. Actually the lower end Mac's require 2k like the 6360,
6400 and 6500 and the like but higher end like 7300 and up don't
which requires explanation; why put the more expensive RAM in the
lower end Mac?. Ram vendors, of course, will try to sell the 2k
because it faster they say but really, how much faster can it be. I
say buy the 4k and forget it and save your money, unless your some
rocket scientist aiming for Mars. But that's only my opion; others
may disagree.
read these sites. I looked them up in reference to my 7300 to give
you an idea but look up your specs in 9500. My tech specs in pdf says
I can use 4k for 7300:
