I've noticed many newer CD's do not read on my 9500.
This includes product installers as well as CDs
I've burned myself. So this makes installing software
a pain, and I'd like to replace the CD drive with one
that is capable of reading the newer CD types, as well as
being somewhat faster.

What are the types of CD drive to look for? I assume it's a SCSI
device... does Mac OS 9 support anything but the original
CD drive in this box? Or will I need a third party driver?

Thanks,

     erik
