Yes.

Actually, sarcasm and bigotry differ in many ways, but this isn't an english
lit. list. This is a Mac list...no mention of PC questions when I signed
up...years ago. Unless it is an off topic PC networking question. But that
should be taken offlist.

I think bigotry sucks too.

I've used Punchcard HP systems, Apples, Amigas, Commodores, TRS-80's, Macs,
PC, Unix, Sun, SGI, and linux systems. But I'm only 33 years old. I choose
the Mac OS out of experience...not bigotry.

I know. I bought a IIfx new. Do you have any idea what that cost?

You've read the Hyperion Novels haven't you...Good.

Easy. I can sum it up in a few sentences though. Macs used to be
SUPER-FREAKING expensive. Now they are not. ((is that simple enough? the
2,000 word version is waiting playfully in the wings)).

I was on the 8500 Hardware design team. They are my favorite Macs. I have 3.
Yes, adding RAM is tough for rookies, but all you need is a little patience.
RAM was not a "user-serviceable" part back then.

The only bigotry here is directed at PC's (and I have no problem in stating
that). This is a "Mac only" list with a "once-removed" rule, so you are
allowed to ask questions about machines that are once removed...get it. He
he.

I am MCSE, A+ and UNIX certified, but that is not for this list... unless you
are talking about a windoze PCI card for an 8500. Orange Micro makes a good
one.

I live in San Francisco...and I know all I want to know about "diversity." ;-)
