It has it's advantage to graphic designers, as they can keep their
tools and palattes on one monitor and free up the other monitor
completely for the picture/design. It is also very useful if you have
a TV card, as it is difficult to watch TV with only one monitor. If
you have a DOS card or Virtual PC, it is very convenient to have
Windows one monitor and the mac on the other. If your into audio it
can help to keep various windows viewable at the same time. I find it
particularly useful for pdf/electronic manuals for tutorials, as you
can always have the manual viewable on one monitor. Internet wise, it
is nice to keep your original search page viewable on the other
monitor, as your locating things of interest. Other aspects of the
internet are also useful, like keeping your chat open while your
surfing the web. It is always good to have as much desktop space as
possible. Many graphic cards, like the ixMicro card has a Mac and PC
monitor port. So you can easily just buy an affordable PC monitor and
not have to mess with adaptors.
