It depends what you are doing. I personally would rather have two small monitors (or three, as I have had before) over one large one. Dual monitors operate just like an expanded desktop (i.e. the mouse passes from one to the next) Once you have more than one monitor connected, the "monitor" control panel adds a new option "arrange" which let you position how they interact (side by side, one on top of the other, diagonal, etc, however you want) Of course two or more are better for PhotoShop or other programs with lots of pallets, but even for everyday users it helps!! I have difference Apps open and on different monitors all the time. But if you are buying a monitor just to do something like watch a DVD on, then one large monitor would be better. The Mac's dual monitor ability makes me surprised that people are buying Apples 22" LCD (even with the new $2500 price) If I had the money I would much rather spend it buying another $150 video card, a $150 DVI to ACD adapter, and *TWO* of Apples $999 17" LCD Monitors!! For $200 less you could have ** 34 INCHES ** of monitor space instead of 22" Even using the 15" LCD's would give you more space and save another $800 but for things that need one monitor 15" is getting a bit small. Just dreaming, Ray But maybe once the new Dual 800's arrive I'll set up a display like that at the store(they have a Dual-Display video card already). > It would be better to have two monitors (regardless of size) rather than > having one large monitor? Does the two operate as one? One keyboard and one > mouse? > Bailey -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
