Hello:

I plan on upgrading my 8500/180 during the next few weeks and I had some
questions.

1) I have all eight ram slots filled with 16MB dimms. Two of these are the
original Apple memory, which I assume runs at 70ns. The other six dimms
are Newer Technology 60ns. Obviously all this ram is interleaved. I plan
on adding a 450MHz G3 card from Sonnet. I've heard that sometimes people
have to de-interleave their ram when adding G3 cards. What is other
people's experience with this? Could the 70ns ram cause me trouble?

2) Does anyone have comments on adding a USB PCI card to their 8500? I
have been looking at the Belkin 2-port model as I was considering the
Apple Pro Mouse. Are there problems with this sort of setup?

3) This question kind of ties into question 2 above. Instead of the USB
card, would a Macally ADB mouse work sufficiently? Does anyone use this
mouse?

4) Lastly, I have been leaning towards the 450MHz Sonnet card, but the
400MHz is about $40 cheaper. Is 50MHz worth $40?

Thank you for comments on this!
