For Photoshop, the G4 chip is of significant benefit.
G4 upgrade cards are expensive enuff that getting a discontinued G4
machine becomes more sensible.
However, if you will be satisfied w/  a G3 card, get a $200 XLR8 Carrier
Card/G3 400mHz  combo deal from Other World Computing.
The discontinued G4 machines are in the $1200 range, and have a one year
warranty, from Apple.
Bottom Line: Photographer should have G4 Tower.

ould I upgrade and if so how?  Or should I try to purchase a newer computer? And if so
