FPM - Fast Page Mode, the 'old' standard, also see quote below from:

"There are two types of DIMMs. Standard and DIMMs with the words EDO
in front. It stands for Extended Data Output and has a 5% to 25%
faster access/seek time than standard DIMMs. BUT and VERY importantly
some PowerPC Mac's CAN�T use them. For instance the most notorious is
the 7200, if you use EDO DIMMs you do permanent damage to the main
CPU. PLEASE check with you Apple local reseller and let them advise
you on the RAM upgrade is you IN ANY WAY UNSURE about the memory chips
needed, that�s their job."
