Can I extend the wiring of my 9500 power supply by cutting the wire, and
soldering wire between where I cut the wire. I have an extra dead 9500 power
supply so I have the right type of wiring. The solder I have now is the kind
used for motherboards, would that be all right?
Also, I have a 200W AT power supply that I need to power 5 drives and
maybe a fan, no motherboard. Would that work out or is it too many drives?
I would probably also need to extend some of this wiring and split some of
the wires off into two, so I would get 2 drive connections out of one
originally. Is that straightforward or do I need to do something special?
The reason Im asking is Im trying to get my 9500 into a large PC AT case
for more drive bays and easier access to the insides.
Thanks
Chris
