Although there could very well be some subtle electronic interference
caused by hardware plugged into this socket, I'd like to give the
benefit of the doubt to the engineers at Apple who have spent so much
energy, over many years, to bring us computers that are extremely
reliable. I would assume that if the monitor A/C socket had any
chance of causing stability problems, they would have removed it long
ago.
